Foret gets WSBK return with Pedercini Kawasaki

Fabien Foret will return to World Superbike competition for the penultimate round of the season at Magny-Cours after being drafted in by Pedercini Kawasaki to replace Luca Scassa.

With Scassa declaring last time out at Jerez that his 2014 WSBK season is over as he struggles to make a full recovery from injuries sustained in a MotoGP testing accident back in May, Team Pedercini has turned to experienced Foret to ride the EVO-specification Kawasaki ZX-10R at his home French event.

A former World Supersport champion and 16-time race winner at that level, Foret returned to WSBK with MAHI Kawasaki for the first time in eight years this season, but the Indian-backed team's recent withdrawal from the series has left him without a ride.

Nonetheless, he will be back to partner Alessandro Andreozzi at Magny-Cours at least, though there is no word on whether he will remain on board for the Qatar finale in November.
