SSTK: MRS retains Guarnoni, signs Lanusse

Jeremy Guarnoni and Romain Lanusse will form MRS Kawasaki's rider line-up in the 2013 FIM Superstock 1000 Cup.

MRS has announced an all-French line-up for the 2013 FIM Superstock 1000 Cup with Jeremy Guarnoni being joined by Romain Lanusse.

Guarnoni's new deal will see him get a full season with MRS, the Frenchman having begun the 2012 SSTK1000 season with Team Pedercini before moving over to sister Kawasaki outfit MRS in place of the World Superbike-bound Loris Baz.

The switch had an immediately positive effect on his results, Guarnoni scoring podiums in five of the final six races of the season, including a maiden victory at his home Magny-Cours event.

For 2013, Guarnoni will be joined by former Superstock 600 team-mate Lanusse, who makes his debut at SSTK1000 level after a year in the World Supersport Championship. Riding for Intermoto Step Kawasaki, Lausse went on to finish in 19th overall.
