Smart re-signs for Vivaldi.

BSB race winner Scott Smart has re-signed with the Vivaldi Racing Team for the 2006 British Superbike Championship, where he will ride alongside Ben Wilson and Ollie Bridewell, plus the team's Supersport rider Tommy Bridewell.

A message left in the forum section of the Vivaldi website yesterday (Thursday) appeared to announce the signing, which has now been officially confirmed to Crash.net by the team.

Scott joined the Kawasaki outfit after splitting with reigning champion's Rizla Suzuki shortly after round six of the 2005 series, at Croft in early June, having "struggled to gel with the GSX-R1000".

Smart's best finish from the following seven rounds, three of which he missed after breaking his collarbone at Silverstone, was a seventh place during race one at the penultimate Donington Park event.
