Iddon fractures fibula day after Tyco team-mate Farmer injury
Christian Iddon has been diagnosed with a fractured fibula in the wake of his accident during the second Bennetts British Superbike Championship race at Knockhill, just a day after Keith Farmer suffered his own leg injuries with a crash at exactly the same corner.
Iddon was left flying the flag for the factory BMW effort one race day after Farmer’s crash in the wet – shortly after setting a time good enough for the front row of the grid – left the Ulsterman with fractures to both lower legs.

Iddon was left flying the flag for the factory BMW effort one race day after Farmer’s crash in the wet – shortly after setting a time good enough for the front row of the grid – left the Ulsterman with fractures to both lower legs.
However, having finished fourth in race one, Iddon low-sided on the exit of the same turn, seemingly getting caught up as Farmer did with the BMW S1000RR as it skidded across the grass.
Left immobile as marshals tended to him, Iddon was seen crouched on the ground for several laps as the safety car was called and taken to the medical centre. He has since been diagnosed with a fracture his fibula

A cruel outcome for Tyco BMW on a weekend it has shown pace, it leaves the team with a potentially huge headache for the next BSB round, which takes place at Snetterton in just two weeks’ time.
