Paul Bird Motorsport has secured VisionTrack as its new title sponsor for the 2020 Bennetts British Superbike championship.

The defending champions saw its title sponsor partnership with Be Wiser completed at the end of the 2019 campaign, with Scott Redding clinching the riders’ title ahead of team-mate Josh Brookes, as Ducati won the manufacturers’ crown in BSB in the debut year of the Panigale V4 R.

Kent-based video telematics company VisionTrack have taken on the role of the team’s new title sponsor from 2020.

While PBM has retained Brookes for 2020, Christian Iddon joins to the team as World Superbike-bound Redding’s replacement.

“Being massive supporters of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, the opportunity to join the most successful team in the history of the series was too good to pass by, so we are delighted to be teaming up with Paul Bird Motorsport,” Simon Marsh, VisionTrack’s managing director, said.

“We are a rapidly growing company and we look forward to the exposure both trackside and on TV, with the VisionTrack Ducati riders hopefully leading from the front again, which makes it a perfect match and partnership for 2020.”

“We are delighted to welcome Simon and the rest of the VisionTrack team to PBM Ducati for the 2020 season, we hope to continue our success with them on board,” Paul Bird added. “There’s a lot of pressure on us to deliver again after such a successful season in 2019 but we have the riders, the bikes, the team and importantly, the commercial partners to allow us to do that. We are now focussing on our pre-season test schedule to ensure we arrive at Silverstone in shape to defend our title.”

Thanks to its 2019 success PBM secured its seventh BSB title while between Redding and Brookes the team claimed 21 wins in the 27-race campaign.

The 2020 BSB season gets underway at Silverstone on 10-12 April.
