Q:
You've got a good relationship with the MG in Britcar and now you have an MG for the new BTCC season. How much are you looking forward to the year ahead?

Fiona Leggate:
I can't wait! I started out racing MGs and then over the last few seasons I've always looked at the MG and that was the car I wanted to drive. So to get to drive the MG and team up with Kartworld, who have been fantastic with me so far, is good and I can't wait to get out in the car.

Q:
The last few years you've been with Techspeed in the Astra before leaving them late last year, so how did you end up with Jason?

Fiona Leggate:
It was just a flash in the pan really. I was looking for a drive and there were a few options I had and Jason rang me last week and said 'Why don't you buy an MG and come and race with us?' I said I'd have to have a word with my dad so I did that and then on Wednesday we bought the car and today is the first time I've sat in it.

Q:
So how much are you looking forward to testing it in anger?

Fiona Leggate:
I'm really looking forward to it as I've never driven at Rockingham before so we'll see how it goes. I just want to get as much track-time as possible.

Q:
What are your aims and expectations for the year ahead?

Fiona Leggate:
What I'd like to do is to be running at the front of the BTC-spec cars, or at least be running near the front of them. I just want to do my best, it's a new car and new team for me, so I want to learn as much as I can during the coming year.

Q:
You were a pioneer of bio-ethanol with Techspeed and the MG will be running on it again this year. Is there anything you can bring to the team in that respect?

Fiona Leggate:
Because Jason went on to bio-ethanol at the middle of last season, they probably near enough know as much as they need to know. There might be some things I can help with but they seem to be a good team and know what they need to know.
