Jason Plato currently holds the advantage over Fabrizio Giovanardi going into the weekend but the SEAT man is unlikely to have it all his own way as the Italian seeks to add a BTCC title to his already impressive resume - although he will need to overturn a nine point deficit if he is to prevent Plato taking his second crown.

However, in the first Thruxton round of the season, Giovanardi outscored Plato by - you've guessed it - nine points, which could make this seasons finale one of the most tightly fought in recent memory.

With the battle for the Independents title being just as close, and a number of other drivers seeking to end their season on a high, it's a weekend not to be missed - but if you can't make the trip to Hampshire then there is no need to miss out on the action.

To access the live timing, there is no need to install any special software as it will all be hosted here on the site.

All you have to do is click on the banner on the BTCC home page (or the link below) and you'll be taken straight to the right page, where you'll able to see the same information that's broadcast to the teams on the pit wall.

If you go there now you'll see Formula Renault Test times, but as of Saturday morning, BTCC timing will be live.
