John Guest sponsors Donington.

Team Eurotech title sponsors John Guest has announced that it will sponsor race day during the next round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park.

The event, which will comprise rounds seven, eight and nine of the 2008 campaign, will see the Sunday renamed as the John Guest Trophy Raceday as the company increases it involvement in the BTCC beyond sponsoring the entries of father and son duo Mike and Andrew Jordan.

"Donington is the team's local circuit and, in terms of geographic location, it is the best in the country for spectators to travel to," John Guest sponsorship manager Carl Grey said. "It also offers brilliant viewing.

"The track has a lot of character and history - it is a place of challenges and there are good overtaking opportunities which make for very good action, especially with the big grid of cars the championship enjoys.

"We have taken big crowds there in the past and always had very good experiences, and we are looking for more of the same and hopefully for success for both Mike and Andrew."

Donington Park's marketing and media manager Vikki Wellington said the circuit was delighted with the news that the company will take on an increased presence.

"We are delighted that John Guest is sponsoring this event which we are working hard to ensure is both a sporting success and also a great family day out," she said. "John Guest has a long-standing relationship with the circuit and we are delighted this is continuing at a race meeting that we intend will delight the enthusiasts with the racing, and also provide full entertainment for families with plenty of other activities to excite them."
