Fans of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship based in the North East will get two chances to get up close and personal to some of the cars and drivers ahead of the fifth round of the season this weekend at Croft.

On Wednesday evening, the Robertshaw Racing Chevrolet Lacetti of Harry Vaulkhard and Honda Integra of Alan Taylor will be on display outside Taylor's Big Mussel Restaurant on Newcastle's Quayside.

Fans will be able to head along to meet both drivers and look around the cars, while a number of goodies will also be given away on the night.

Taylor and Vaulkhard will then head to Darlington on Thursday night where they will be joined by Arkas Racing with Sunshine.co.uk's Martyn Bell for the fifth fans forum laid on by series sponsors HiQ.

The event, at the Meynell Road store, will run from 6.30-8.30pm with all three drivers on hand to sign autographs, pose for pictures and answer questions about the BTCC.

Free food and drink will be provided and ten pairs of tickets for race day will be given away during the evening.

"We are really going all out for our most successful event yet and we want as many people to attend as possible," HiQ's Neil Burrows said. "Our motorsport forums give people the chance to learn about HiQ, the BTCC and a chance to speak to some of the star drivers. We are delighted to be staging one at our Darlington store and we can't wait to kick-off the event."
