Bennett takes on European Clio Trophy regulars.

BTCC race winner and Team PSP driver Phil Bennett will take on some of Europes best tin-top drivers this weekend in a one off outing in the Renault Sport Clio Trophy race at Donington, driving the Mark Fish Motorsport Clio V6 campaigned by Paul Lomax at the start of this season.

As the cars usual pilot Paul Lomax explains: "Phil's driving tuition and guidance had been a great help to both Rick Pearson and myself in the lead up to the Silverstone and Monaco rounds, Phil was so taken with the car when he tested it for us at Silverstone that I promised him a trip out in it at the end of the season by way of a thank-you!"

The car will be sponsored by Fibranet Services Ltd under its NTWebhost.co.uk brand, a spokesman for the company commented: "We're thrilled to have someone with Phil's experience and track record driving the car this weekend."

Asked to comment about his prospects for his first race in the Clio Trophy Phil Bennett noted: "I'm excited to be racing in the Clio Trophy, it's a great championship attracting some of the best drivers from around Europe. Having tested this car earlier in year I know just how much fun it can be, and I'm looking forward to being able to put in a competetive performance for the NTWebhost.co.uk Mark Fish team."
