The organisers of the British Touring Car Championship [BTCC] yesterday announced a revised schedule for 2004, following confirmation by the FIA's World Motor Sport Council on Friday that the date of the British F1 Grand Prix would switch to the second weekend in July, as opposed to the first.

In a release published on the official BTCC site, www.tocatour.co.uk, three changes have now been made.

The non-championship BTCC meeting, which was due to take place on July 2-4, has moved to remain part of the Silverstone bill now scheduled for July 9-11.

This also has a knock on affect for Croft and Knockhill, the former switching to July 24/25 [from July 10/11], while the latter goes to the first weekend in August [from July 24/25].

No other changes were made.
