Josh Cook claimed second on the times, a quarter of a second off Goff, in the Power Maxed TAG Racing Vauxhall Astra with Jake Hill producing an eye-catching maiden test in the AmD MG for third on the times.

BTCC championship leader Colin Turkington grabbed fourth on the times for Team BMW and was quickest in the afternoon session, while Wednesday’s fastest driver Halfords Yuasa Racing rookie Dan Cammish produced impressive pace again.

BTCC series director Gow also took part in the test thanks to an invite from HMS Racing Alfa Romeo’s Rob Austin who was on hand to guide the Australian as part of a 30-minute one-off outing.

The test was used in part to prepare for the ‘Diamond Double’ race at the Norfolk circuit later this month with the race double the usual length and double the points on offer.
