Gordon Shedden made it five winners in five races in the 2012 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship with victory in race two at Donington Park.

Shedden ran second in the early stages behind the Ford of race one winner Mat Jackson but was able to take the lead after a brief Safety Car period, called after a collision between Rob Collard and Jason Plato at the chicane saw Plato spin into the barriers - which then needed repairing.

Once ahead, Shedden was able to pull away to victory ahead of team-mate Matt Neal, who also battled ahead of Jackson to make it a Honda 1-2. Jackson therefore was left to settle for third place.

Off the podium, Dave Newsham took fourth place for ES Racing with Pirtekl Racing pairing Andrew Jordan and Jeff Smith rounding out the top six. Tony Gilham impressed in his Honda Civic to take seventh while a fine recovery drive from Collard saw him come through the field to finish eighth.

Amongst the retirements, Chris James and Liam Griffin collided on the run to Coppice - with Griffin angrily confronting James afterwards - while Dan Welch retired after a spin at the final corner. Ollie Jackson and Rob Austin both failed to even start after mechanical woes put them out of the remainder of the weekend.
