Muller takes win, Reid second.

Reigning British Touring Car Champion Yvan Muller took his first win of 2004 today, taking the win in the final race of three at Thruxton, ahead of West Surrey Racing's Anthony Reid.

For Muller, who suffered with setup problems in the earlier races, it was a solid victory, as he found his way past race two winner Jason Plato early on and disappeared off.

Plato, heavy with ballast after his race two win, attempted to keep Scotsman Reid at bay, but there was no stopping the oldest man in the series who was soon past and off into the distance to try to close down his old sparring partner, Muller.

James Thompson put on a storming performance to charge from the back of the field to take the final podium position.
