Ferrari’s updated ‘Macarena' rear wing spotted during Monza F1 filming day
Ferrari's updated upside-down rear wing design has been spotted during a filming day at Monza.

Ferrari has been running an updated version of its innovative rotating rear wing design during a Formula 1 filming day at Monza, leaked footage has revealed.
The Italian outfit grabbed headlines when it debuted its radical concept on its SF-26 car during pre-season testing in Bahrain.
When the car is in straight-line mode, the rear wing can be seen flipping into an upside-down position.
The design, which has been dubbed as a ‘Macarena’ wing, briefly made an appearance during a test in first practice at the Chinese Grand Prix weekend, however it was removed from the car.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton described the race weekend debut as being a “little bit premature”.
“We rushed it to get it here and it was not supposed to be on the cars until I think it was like race four or five or something like that,” Hamilton said in Shanghai.
Ferrari has been working in the background on a revised version of the rotating rear-wing and appears to have been testing it during a planned filming day at Monza on Wednesday.
Footage emerged online showing the rear-wing flipping upside down along the main straight.
Ferrari is using the 200km of permitted run to evaluate the SF-26’s behaviour on one of the most demanding tracks for energy recovery.
It also provides an opportunity to test out its aerodynamic package which is expected to debut at the next race, the Miami Grand Prix on 3 May.
As well as the updated version of the ‘Macarena’ wing, Ferrari is set to introduce a revised floor and other aerodynamic parts.
It could be that Ferrari delays bringing the rotating rear wing until the Canadian Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc was first to drive the SF-26 at Monza but Hamilton is also in attendance at the Italian Grand Prix venue.
