Goodyear Could Return Soon.

Tyre manufacturer Goodyear may be back in F1 sooner than many people expected, according to stories circulating in Montreal.


The American company, which is suffering at the hands of rival Bridgestone this season, is due to quit the formula at the end of 1998. FOCA boss Bernie Ecclestone has attempted to keep Goodyear involved in the sport, but is resigned to its leaving. Nevertheless, he is sure that the company will return - and be ready to dominate the sport again.
