David Coulthard believes that he will be stay with McLaren next season, and will be looking to finalise a deal as soon as possible.
"I am sure I am going to be at McLaren next year," said the Scot, "All we need is a little bit of paper to make it official."
Although there has been no formal confirmation that McLaren would be keeping either of its current drivers next year, both team boss Ron Dennis and his Mercedes counterpart Norbert Haug have hinted that there would be a 'big chance' of Coulthard and team-mate Mika Hakkinen re-signing for 2000.

"I trust Ron and I trust Norbert," Coulthard continued, "All they are saying publicly is what they have been saying to me privately all along."
An announcement is expected at Hockenheim in a week's time, and should confirm a fourth term for the Hakkinen-Coulthard partnership.
