JVC to join Albers at Midland.
Electronics brand JVC has confirmed that its Benelux division will extend its backing of Christijan Albers for another season, after the Dutch driver signed to join the renamed Midland-Toyota team in 2006.
Electronics brand JVC has confirmed that its Benelux division will extend its backing of Christijan Albers for another season, after the Dutch driver signed to join the renamed Midland-Toyota team in 2006.
The company's logo will appear on both the first ever Midland F1 chassis, as well as on Albers' overalls and helmet. The Dutchman will remain an ambassador for JVC, and appear in its advertising and other branding activities.
"Our co-operation with Christijan is very successful," marketing director Ruud Nagel commented, "We are really happy and proud to announce that we will extend the sponsorship. Christijan did a very good job for JVC, as well as the Minardi team, and, for our brand, he is a great ambassador. We expect good results in 2006 and hope to support him and Midland Toyota for many more years."
