Midland F1 Racing has announced that they will team up with MAN Trucks in 2006.

MAN Trucks, who already sponsor MF1 Racing driver Christijan Albers, will supply the Silverstone based team with ten brand new trucks. They will be delivered in the new MF1 colours at the beginning of 2006.

"Everything is starting to go in the right direction. We are trying to build a strong future in F1 and this only works with the right partners. We are happy that MAN will supply the trucks to the team and that they continue to support our driver Christijan Albers," said MF1 Racing managing director, Colin Kolles. "MAN is one of the leading truck brands in the world and they suit our ambitions."

Onno Vos, general manager MAN Netherlands added that they were pleased with the 'co-operation' with Albers in 2005 and that it is for this reason they have decided to follow him to MF1 Racing and support the next step in his career.

"Before we took the decision, we have been talking a lot to Colin Kolles, Alex Shnaider and his colleagues. We are convinced that MF1 Racing is very ambitious and professional, so we are really happy that MAN has become a partner of the team," he added.

"We will work together with the team as well as the Midland Group next year on several levels and Christijan will again star in our Benelux advertising campaigns and at trade fairs. Behind every great man, there is a great MAN. I wish Christijan and MF1 Racing a very successful 2006 season."
