Absolute Authentic, one of the leading companies for official motorsport memorabilia, has opened its doors to motorsport enthusiasts looking to pick up some of the most sought after items currently on the market.

The company, the brainchild of former BAR number one mechanic Barry Gough and his business partner Louis Watts, aims to give motorsport fans the 'genuine item at a reasonable price' and has already amassed an impressive display of collectables - including prints and models signed by Formula One stars such as World Champion Fernando Alonso, McLaren ace Kimi Raikkonen and Brit Jenson Button.

Fans of two wheels needn't feel left out, with MotoGP aces Sete Gibernau, Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden having signed numerous items available for sale and Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Rainey providing memorabilia for those looking for something prior to the MotoGP era.

"All of our items are signed through exclusive signing sessions," Gough - who also worked with Simtek and Jordan in F1 prior to his role with BAR - said. "A director of Absolute Authentic is present at every signing to witness each signature and each signed collectable is given a unique serial number identifying the signature. Every signature is also photographed and catalogued to make it immediately traceable."

A full catalogue of items is available online at www.absoluteauthentic.com, while the company also has a 1000sq foot showroom at Silverstone to showcase the various strictly limited edition items it offers for sale.

Also on display at the showroom are the striking canvases produced by Action Canvas, portraying action both off and on track from a variety of championships including Formula One, the WRC, British Touring Cars and MotoGP.

Available in a variety of sizes and described as 'just awesome' by reigning BTCC champion Matt Neal - who features in one of the most dramatic prints while dicing with rival Yvan Muller in the wet at Knockhill last year - the prints can be purchased from both the Absolute Authentic showroom or online at www.actioncanvas.com.

"We are delighted to be given the opportunity to showcase the canvases in our showroom," Gough said. "The visual impact of them is tremendous."

For more on Absolute Authentic, visit www.absoluteauthentic.com or call into the showroom - open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday - at Unit 2255, Silverstone Technology Park, Silverstone Circuit.
