The near 350km/h (217mph) reached by the leading MotoGP riders along the Mugello home straight is more akin to the kind of speeds associated with an aircraft.
And if you look closely at this picture (click on pic to enlarge) you'll see that both wheels of Dani Pedrosa's Repsol Honda have left contact with the asphalt...
