2020 MotoE rider line-up announced

The 2020 MotoE entry list has been officially published with 18 riders and 12 teams revealed including defending champion Matteo Ferrari.

Ferrari became the inaugural MotoE World Cup title winner this year with the Trentino Gresini rider beating Bradley Smith by 11 points and the Italian rider will duly defend his crown in 2020.

Ferrari welcomes a new team-mate to Gresini in Alessandro Zaccone who replaces Lorenzo Savadori, as Smith remains a one-rider entry at One Energy Racing.

Former Moto2 and World Superbike race-winner Jordi Torres replaces Sete Gibernau at Join Contract Pons 40 in a headline tweak to a largely unchanged grid.

The 2020 MotoE season gets underway at Jerez during the Spanish MotoGP weekend (May 1-3) for a seven-race, five-round campaign which ends with a double-header at Valencia on 13-15 November which recently replaced the initially scheduled Le Mans round.
