Jorge Lorenzo wins the Italian MotoGP after a photo-finish with Marc Marquez, the pair swapping places several times on the final lap before Lorenzo slipstreamed past the Honda rider on the run to the finish line.

Andrea Iannone claimed third for Ducati after fighting back from a bad start, setting a new all-time top speed record in the process. Fellow home hero Valentino Rossi was shadowing Lorenzo for the lead, until a massive engine failure.
