The top two riders in Q1 - Miller and Pol Espargaro - now progress to the Q2 pole position shootout, where they will join the ten fastest riders after third practice. The others will start, in the following order, from 13th on the grid onwards.

After last weekend's controversy with Maverick Vinales, Marc Marquez followed Miller out of the pits at the start of Qualifying 1, Miller looking over and gesturing 'how much' to the Honda rider!

Both Marquez brothers, Pol Espargaro and Bastianini then waited for Miller to leave the pits again at the start of the final run.

The last lap saw Miller go to the top, but Marc Marquez lost out on second place to his team-mate Espargaro just behind him!

Marquez reached out to shake Miller's hand on the slow down lap.

Lecuona fell for second session in a row, this time a very quick fall at Turn 9 which saw him reach the airfence. The KTM rider, whose seat is in danger for 2022, had been second at the time.
