It was a strong day for HRC with Alvaro Bautista and Leon Haslam securing top five finishes aboard the Honda CBR1000RR-R machine.

Kawasaki were the day’s early pace setters with Alex Lowes fastest from six-time world champion Jonathan Rea, before the fast times rolled in with Razgatlioglu finishing ahead of Davies and fellow Yamaha rider Garrett Gerloff.

Tito Rabat was quickest of the rookies in the opening session with 12th, one spot ahead of BMW rider Jonas Folger, however, it was Ducati rider Axel Bassani who took that honour in FP2 with ninth in the session.

Loris Cresson was slowest of the 23 riders and outside of the 107% rule during FP1, but the Belgiun had no such issues in FP2.
