Lorenzo Baldassarri and Peter Sebestyen have officially unveiled their 2022 Evan Bros. Yamaha WorldSSP colours.

Baldassarri, who is one of the big Moto2 acquisitions to the Supersport class for 2022, will be taking part in his first season away from Moto2 since 2014.

The Italian rider has so far taken part in one pre-season test at Jerez, as he makes the switch to Yamaha who won 20 out of 21 races last season.

Speaking at the team’s official launch, Baldassarri said: "The 2022 season will be a very important one for me, which I will face with great desire.

"I'm aware that I'm a rookie in WorldSSP, but I'm also aware that I have a top team behind me, with which I'll be chasing good results.

"I really like the livery, it's attractive and designed for the track. Now all that's left to do is get out on the track and do well."

Alongside Baldassarri is the experienced Sebestyen, a former WorldSBK rider who is going into his fourth full Supersport campaign in 2022.

Although the Hungarian remains winless, Sebestyen showed potential during the closing stages of last season - claiming five consecutive top ten finishes in what was a very competitive field.

Sebestyen added: "The new livery of the bike gives me dynamism, and it deserves to be in the top positions.

"I've worked hard this winter to get ready for the first round of the season and I think I'm on the right track.

"The upcoming season will be very important for me and I am looking forward to it together with a top level team like the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team."
