PCCGB: Quartet to debut at Silverstone.

Four drivers are to make their debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup during the penultimate rounds of the season at Silverstone this coming weekend.

Team Parker Racing will bring in experience endurance racer Sean Paul Breslin for the weekend as he joins forces with front-running pair Michael Caine and Tim Bridgman for what will be only his second outing on British soil - the first having come at Brands Hatch back in 2005.

"I was looking to start racing in the UK and wanted a good platform for sponsors," Breslin, who will race in the pro-am1 category said. "I like the Carrera Cup cars."

Meanwhile, joining the Apex Tubulars/Qserv squad for the Silverstone weekend will be Alasdair McCaig, racing alongside Tommy Dreelan in the team's pro-am2 cars. McCaig is the son of Ecurie Ecosse patron Hugh, and has experience of racing in karts, Formula Ford and Caterhams.

Mark McAleer, the 2007 champion from the Porsche Club Championship earns his prize drive weekend in the PCGB pro-am2 Carrera Cup car as part of the support given to Porsche Club GB Motorsport.

The quartet will be completed by British F3 runner Nick Tandy, who will drive the PCGB pro category entry. Tandy has enjoyed a solid season to date having stepped into F3 from Formula Ford, with a number of podium finishes at the wheel of his JTR-entered Mygale Mercedes.

The debut of the four drivers will lift the number of drivers to have competed in the Carrera Cup this season to 40.
