Josh Price will contest a second season in the British Touring Car Championship with Team BMR, as he fills the final slot on the 32-car 2018 grid.

The former Renault Clio Cup race-winner made his BTCC debut last year with Warren Scott’s BMR squad, scoring a best result of ninth place at Rockingham as he finished the year 31st in the drivers’ standings.

Price joins defending champion Ashley Sutton and two-time BTCC champion Jason Plato for the upcoming 2018 campaign, which gets underway on April 8 at Brands Hatch. The 19-year-old will run under the Autoglym banner that has supported BMR as a sponsor and technical partner in recent years.

“It’s great to be back in the BTCC with Team BMR and Autoglym,” Price said. “After a test at Snetterton a couple of weeks back we came away with a clear vision that this was the right path to go down for 2018. There is definitely unfinished business for me in the championship, so we’ve got a lot to prove this season.”

BMR boss Scott added: “We are thrilled to have Josh in the team for another season in the Subaru Levorg. 2017 was a big learning curve for him with it being his maiden season in which he made impressive progress.

“We are really looking forward to watching him battle for the Jack Sears Trophy title once again this year and can’t wait to get started. Josh and his family are great to be around and it’s a pleasure to have them on-board.”
