F1 2012 standings after European GP

Fernando Alonso wins in front of his home fans in Valencia and moves into the lead in the battle for the 2012 F1 drivers' championship, 20 points up on Mark Webber.

Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel both fail to score and slip to third and fourth respectively, with Nico Rosberg still fifth.

Red Bull Racing meanwhile continues to head the constructors' standings, now 39 points ahead of McLaren, while Lotus and Ferrari lie third and fourth, with 126 and 122 points on the board respectively. Mercedes is fifth with 92.
