MotoGP Gossip: Aprilia's next steps in Iannone case

- Aprilia says former MotoGP and World Superbike star Max Biaggi, Karel Abraham (axed at Avintia Ducati in favour of Johann Zarco for 2020) and ex Aprilia WorldSBK rider Lorenzo Savadori are the factory's three options to join Aleix Espargaro and Bradley Smith at the Sepang test.

- Aprilia says former MotoGP and World Superbike star Max Biaggi, Karel Abraham (axed at Avintia Ducati in favour of Johann Zarco for 2020) and ex Aprilia WorldSBK rider Lorenzo Savadori are the factory's three options to join Aleix Espargaro and Bradley Smith at the Sepang test. One of the trio will replace Andrea Iannone, who is set to be ruled out of the test by his ongoing doping suspension and is also in doubt for the start of the racing season.  (Crash.net)

- KTM’s director of motorsport Pit Beirer lays out its senior management restructuring as the Austrian brand continues to develop its motorsport involvement. Across all disciplines, Beirer says it has 50 works riders and close to 500 team members. (Speedweek)

- LCR Honda boss Lucio Cecchinello estimates Cal Crutchlow’s crashes across a MotoGP season costs him “a million a year” but he loves his rider for his efforts within the team. Crutchlow, who joined the team in 2015 from Ducati, has also spoken about potentially retiring from MotoGP at the end of this year. (GPOne.com)

- The Circuit of the Americas is currently undergoing a track resurfacing in preparation for its 2020 events. The Texan track is just one of four MotoGP venues which also hosts F1 and came under intense scrutiny from riders at the last Americas MotoGP due to the bumpy surface. Previous surface treatment had little effect.
