Fabio Quartararo “finds something” with Yamaha V4 at Jerez MotoGP test
Fabio Quartararo improves front feeling but ‘nothing big’ at Jerez MotoGP test.

Fabio Quartararo tried a wide range of chassis, aero and electronic developments for his Yamaha V4 during Monday’s post-race Jerez MotoGP test.
The Frenchman finished just 14th in Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix, completing the race distance almost 30 seconds behind winner Alex Marquez and 20 seconds slower than his own runner-up time on the previous Inline machine.
However, Quartararo was a more competitive seventh overall (+0.495s) at the Monday test, crediting an improvement in front-end feeling.
“We made a lot of tests today with electronic chassis, swingarm, aerodynamics,” Quartararo said.
"We already tried the chassis during the race weekend, but I tested a lot of aeros today, and I think the last one that I used was the most positive.
"For some things, we still need to figure out how to further improve them, but it looks like we did find a bit of front feeling today with the set-up and the aero
“So on that, I'm quite happy. We know we miss a lot, but I think that I find something in that specific area.
“It's a big help when I start to feel the front. I need to feel where the limit is.”
Nonetheless, Quartararo warned not to expect miracles in his home French MotoGP at Le Mans in two weeks.
“I think it’ll be a bit better, but I will not say that I'm optimistic.
“I don't think we found something big; it's a small detail that can help me for my riding.
“But being honest we didn't find something really, really important.”
Jack Miller was the next fastest Yamaha rider, in 17th (+1.095s).
