PIC: No repeat of Spies tool error

The Factory Yamaha MotoGP Team has made sure there will be no repeat of the error that led to Ben Spies crashing out of the Estoril race earlier this month.

In Portugal, a tool used to temporarily block the fuel overflow pipe on the grid was accidentally left in place for the race.

The distraction of trying to remove the tool, which also hampered his braking, eventually caused Spies to fall.

As this picture from Le Mans on Sunday shows, it is now impossible for Spies and his mechanics not to notice if the forceps are left in place.
