Moto2 world champion Johann Zarco has called Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez 'warriors' and feels in the heat of battle it can be difficult to make the right decisions.

Zarco has produced an incredible season in Moto2 by storming to the world title with eight race wins and six further rostrum results, enabling him to seal his maiden championship with three rounds to spare in Japan.

With the pressure of a title fight off his shoulders the French rider was a keen onlooker in the MotoGP paddock when the season climax erupted as Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez clashed in Malaysia before the 'strange' atmosphere surrounding the season finale in Valencia.

Zarco refused to lay the blame for the incidents on any of the riders but felt some bad decisions were made and understood the mentality adopted by both Rossi and Marquez with their desire to win at all costs.

"Everybody was talking about this and in Valencia after my race when it was the MotoGP race when Lorenzo crossed the line and won, all the people at the circuit felt it was not the celebration they were waiting for all week," Zarco exclusively told Crash.net. at Motorcycle Live. "It was something strange.

"I want to remember that to ride at this high speed we must be so, so focused so if they are on the top of the class this is because they are warriors. A warrior makes these kinds of decisions and sometimes it is a bad one.

"As a rider you have to make a decision and it is not easy to take the good one. Because we are all talking about it now I hope that we will forget about this problem and restart in 2016."

Zarco is focusing on becoming the first rider in the Moto2 era to successfully defend the title and turned down a number of MotoGP offers for next season because he is seeking a 'competitive package' to step up with in 2017.

The French rider has been linked with a potential test rider role with KTM or Suzuki.
