BMW launch MotoGP Best Qualifier Award.
The upcoming Test at Catalunya will represent the first stage of a new for 2003 challenge - the BMW Award for the MotoGP Best Qualifier.
The brand new prize, a top of the range BMW, will be presented at the end of the season to the rider with the lowest accumulated final qualifying times over the course of the year, including their best effort from the upcoming test.

As a bonus reward, a BMW 330 Cd will be presented to the fastest man at Catalunya.
Early indications suggest that Rossi, Biaggi, Capirossi, Barros and Checa are all in with a realistic shout of the first prize - but what if someone goes out with a bike below the minimum race weight [as it's only a test] combined with a qualifying set-up to grab the 330 Cd from under the stars' noses...?
