After Maverick Vinales took to the track (and was fastest) on day two, Aprilia team-mate Aleix Espargaro completed his first laps of the year on Wednesday morning.

Espargaro and Vinales, the only non-rookie race riders eligible to take part in the Shakedown due to Aprilia's technical concessions, were soon at the top of the timesheets, with Ducati test rider Michele Pirro plus rookies Raul Fernandez and Marco Bezzecchi joining them under the two-minute barrier.

As reported, Yamaha test rider Cal Crutchlow has also been on track today, sharing the M1 test bikes also used by Koha Nozane and Katsuyuki Nakasuga. Crutchlow, who recently signed a new two-year deal to remain as Yamaha's European test rider, will also ride at the Official test.

Fabio di Giannantonio, forced to skip day two due to a stomach illness, is also absent on day three. The Gresini rider has two more days to recover before the start of the Official test on February 5.

Testing runs from 10am to 6pm.
