Marc Marquez takes a firm grip of the 2019 MotoGP title race with victory at Misano following a last-lap duel with Fabio Quartararo.

Another race weekend with no perfect 10s awarded but some high scores for familiar faces and new ones after a thrilling Misano race weekend.

Marquez now holds a 93-point advantage in the riders’ standings with six rounds to go thanks to his win by beating a Yamaha train headed by Quartararo who he denied a maiden premier class win in a stunning final-lap fight.

Vinales claimed his fourth podium in six races with third place ahead of fellow factory Yamaha rider Valentino Rossi with Franco Morbidelli taking fifth.

Andrea Dovizioso could only reach a damage-limitation sixth place on a wretched weekend for Ducati while Pol Espargaro produced arguably the standout performance of the round to take a front row start in qualifying and seventh place in the race for KTM.

Meanwhile it was disaster for Silverstone winner Alex Rins as he crashed out for Suzuki.
