Peter Hickman will not make his debut at Armoy this July, as the 14-time Isle of Man TT winner will instead compete at Chimay, in Belgium.

However, his 8TEN Racing team-mate Davey Todd is pushing to make his first appearance since the Daytona 200 at the Northern Irish event.

Hickman confirmed his absence for the ‘Race of Legends’ meeting during last week’s Southern 100, which marked his debut around the 4.25-mile Billown Course.

Hickman and Todd are both focusing solely on road racing for the remainder of 2026, after it was announced that the team would be withdrawing from the British Superbike Championship.

When speaking to road racing commentator, Chris Kinley, about his absence from Armoy, Hickman said:

“That is the same weekend as Chimay, so unfortunately I will not be there.

"But Davey [Todd] is doing his best to be fit, whether he is or not - obviously he got declared unfit again for this event - and Armoy is only a couple of weeks away, so how much his body is going to repair in that short amount of time I’m not so sure.

“But his target is to try and be at Armoy with the 8TEN bikes.”

Hickman’s next appearance will include a second consecutive debut, this time at Oliver’s Mount in Scarborough, which is scheduled to take place this weekend.

Hickman will then head to Belgium the following weekend.

For 8TEN Racing team-mate Todd, the ‘Race of Legends’ meeting could come too soon in his recovery, although that has not yet been confirmed.

Earlier this summer Todd was declared unfit for the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT.

Unfortunately for Todd, it meant he was unable to defend his Superbike TT win from last year, a race that was dominated by Dean Harrison in 2026.
