More information on TT 2012 On-Bike Laps

"Riding the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain course at race speed is a white-knuckle thrill ride few of us will experience first hand. But now Duke can give fans the next best thing-complete on-board laps of the 37.7-miles of twisting public roads alongside some of the biggest names in motorcycle sport.

"A series of on-board laps of the TT course, recorded during the 2012 Isle of Man TT, are now available to watch, giving viewers the chance to see for themselves the extreme challenge of this epic motorsport event.

"Filmed during practice and racing, Duke has made 10 laps available so far, either to download individually or to own on DVD in a two volume set.

"Find out what 19-times TT winner John McGuinness experiences as he threads his 1000cc Superbike between the hedges, with walls and houses just inches away, at speeds approaching 200mph on public roads with no margin for error.

"You'll be leaping back from the screen as the scenery flashes past the camera and slower machines are caught and passed, and before long you'll find yourself leaning into the hundreds of bends, almost as if you are living a racing lap of the TT course yourself.

"TT 2012 On-Bike Laps Volume One features five laps filmed during the 2012 Practice Week, as low-lying sun, overcast skies and slower machines add extra dimensions to the extreme challenge of the spectacular public road course.

"Rising TT star James Hillier is first out, and a combination of forward and rear-facing cameras let you watch him first shadow Cameron Donald, then display his skills as he negotiates the 1000cc Kawasaki past slower rivals on a lap which takes him little more than 18 minutes.

"Guy Martin copes with glaring sun and sudden patches of almost complete darkness as he weaves the Tyco Suzuki Superbike between the hedges on his way to an average lap speed of 127mph, all captured by the forward-facing camera.

"We move to three wheels to join Tony Baker and Fiona Baker Milligan in their Suzuki-powered outfit, the forward-facing camera allowing you to see what the passenger sees as you catch - and fly pastrival outfits on the tight narrow roads.

"Then, staying with the chairs, TT legend Dave Molyneux and passenger Patrick Farrance offer an on-board master class in controlled riding on the Mountain course. The forward-facing camera mounted in front of Farrance captures a smooth, but fast lap - at an average of 109.958mph.

"Finally Wilson Craig Honda Superbike-mounted Cameron Donald has a busy day at the office, weaving his way through the traffic as he blitzes the lap to record a 129.075mph average - and his forward-facing camera lets you share the roller coast ride.

"TT 2012 On-Bike Laps Volume Two features five laps filmed during the 2012 Dainese Superbike, Sure Sidecar 1, Monster Energy Supersport 1 and Royal London 360 Superstock races, including the chance to join two TT legends as they add yet more victories to their Mountain course tally and ride the course at more than 130mph.

"From the Superbike race we compare the first lap exploits of Honda TT Legend great McGuinness and Wilson Craig Honda-mounted Donald. Forward-facing cameras record the opening laps of both, as the pair traded the lead and recorded average speeds around the 37.7-mile course in excess of 130.2mph!

"Next is the opening lap of the first Sidecar race, joining Molyneux and Farrance as they average 113.269mph from a standing start. Fast and smooth, with the footage from the forward-facing camera you'll soon realise why this lap helped Moly to TT win number 15.

"Then it's Michael Dunlop on his Yamaha R1 in the opening Supersport race, and a chance to see his physical style as he pumps in a 126.948mph lap, flying past rivals on his way to what should have been victory, had it not been for mechanical problems.

"The sensation of speed as the scenery flashes past is staggering, and if you are in any doubt about how much he is shifting, just look at the debris on the forward-facing camera as he comes into the pits.

"Finally, we join Bruce Anstey for the opening lap of the Superstock TT as he thrashes round on the Padgetts Honda at 127.362mph from a standing start. The pace of the race meant Anstey had to settle for fourth, but this forward-facing lap shows just how good the Kiwi can be on his day - and just how spectacular a lap of the TT course really is!

"In addition to the DVDs, each of these laps is available to Download now.

"TT 2012 On-Bike Laps Volume 1 and 2 are Out Now on DVD, priced at ?11.99 or available to download as single laps from www.DukeVideo.com/Downloads priced from ?1.89)."
