Guy Martin made the most of the festive break as the Lincolnshire road racer clocked up some miles at the infamous Cemetery Circuit in Wanganui in New Zealand.

The Tyco Suzuki star, whose new four-part TV series 'Speed with Guy Martin' is currently showing on Channel 4, claimed a podium finish on a Manx Norton in the Classic races at the final round of the Suzuki-Tri-Series Championship on Boxing Day.

Martin also competed in the F1 and Robert Holden Memorial classes aboard a Suzuki New Zealand-supported GSX-R1000, securing a brace of sixth place finishes.

"This is mega," Martin said. "I'm not bothered where I ride motorbikes - I just want to ride them - but to come to New Zealand and do the Cemetery Circuit on Boxing Day... I just love it."

Martin is visiting friends in New Zealand and is also training for upcoming mountain bike races prior to the beginning of the new road racing season.

He has signed for a fourth successive year with Northern Ireland team TAS Racing and is joined by top Ulster racer William Dunlop in 2014 in the blue and white Tyco Suzuki livery.

Last year, Martin claimed a treble at the Ulster Grand Prix and lifted the Solo Championship title at the Southern 100, although a coveted Isle of Man TT success continues to elude him.
