Michael Rutter is targeting a good result in the forthcoming Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Snetterton after claiming the electrical problems on his North West Ducati will give him much needed confidence.

Rutter has had a solid season so far, but was frustrated at Donington Park when could only manage a pair of eighth places having run much higher up the order in the early stages of both races.

Nonetheless, Rutter claims the team know exactly where to locate their problems, with the three-week break thus giving them the chance to make the necessary changes. As such, he is feeling particularly confident for Snetterton.

"I doesn't feel like I have had that much time off, but it has been a great couple of weeks. The team has been working really hard on the bike and they've found the problem with the electronics which has been dogging us for a while, so we are all really looking forward to Snetterton now to see how we go.

"I think we will be back on the pace again, which would be great. Donington Park was just too soon after the North West, and the team didn't have enough time to sort the bike out properly, but it will be a different story this week."
