O’Halloran aiming to break podium duck at Knockhill after ‘peaceful’ two weeks

McAMS Yamaha rider Jason O’Halloran will undoubtedly start round two of the 2021 Bennetts British Superbike season as favorite following a first career clean sweep.

O’Halloran took three wins from three at Oulton Park with last lap overtakes clinching both race two and three for the Australian.

But if the ‘O’Show’ is to continue his 100% winning streak for this season alive, it will require the Yamaha man to break his podium duck at the Scottish circuit.

O’Halloran called Knockhill ‘a different kettle of fish’ when comparing it to Oulton Park, but that a ‘promising’ two-day pre-season test a month ago has left him confident.

"We obviously started the season in the best possible way with three victories at Oulton Park and while that’s made the last couple of weeks peaceful, it doesn’t change our approach, especially heading to a circuit like Knockhill which is a different kettle of fish compared to Oulton," added O'Halloran.

"I have never been on the podium at Knockhill, but we had a really promising test there last month so I’m looking forward to getting back there, especially as we are in a really good position with the bike.

"It’s going to be busy with the event run over just two days, but I'm looking forward to getting back on track."

This weekend sees Knockhill return for the first time in two years having not been on the 2020 schedule due to Covid-19 restrictions.
