Josh Brookes has completed a dominant Brands Hatch hat-trick of wins at the 2019 Bennetts British Superbike championship finale but it wasn’t enough to stop his Be Wiser Ducati team-mate Scott Redding clinching the riders’ title by five points.

The 2015 BSB champion bolted into the lead at the first corner and despite being stalked by Tommy Bridewell for the entire race the Australian kept clear to seal victory and a hat-trick at the iconic Kent circuit.

But with Redding easing into third place he duly sealed the title by five points having come into the finale with a 14-point advantage over Brookes.

With Bridewell in second he duly secures third place in the BSB riders’ championship.

Christian Iddon enjoyed a strong final outing for Tyco BMW with four place to clinch the BSB Riders’ Cup by one point ahead of Honda’s Andrew Irwin.

Despite a last-lap fade to eight place Danny Buchan kept fold of fourth place in the overall BSB championship for FS-3 Racing Kawasaki, with Peter Hickman ending the race in fifth place for Smitsh Racing ahead of fellow BSB Showdown contender Tarran Mackenzie on the McAMS Yamaha.

It sees Mackenzie end the year in fifth place with Hickman in sixth place completing the BSB Showdown six.

Jason O’Halloran enjoyed a solid final race of the year to take seventh place for McAMS Yamaha ahead of Buchan as Irwin and Santander Salt Yamaha’s Dan Linfoot rounded out the top 10 in the BSB finale.
