Toto Wolff’s opinion on Andretti joining F1 as an 11th team hasn’t changed despite the American outfit getting concrete commitment from automotive giant General Motors.
FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem says he “went through hell” when he decided to open the expressions of interest to welcome an 11th F1 team at the start of the year.
Andretti’s partner, General Motors, has already begun a management recruitment drive which has included the hiring of “F1-known personnel” amid their ongoing bid to enter F1.
