Jorge Lorenzo suggests Toprak Razgatlioglu better-suited to another MotoGP team
Jorge Lorenzo reacted to Toprak Razgatlioglu racing for Pramac Yamaha in MotoGP next season.

The announcement of Toprak Razgatlioglu moving to MotoGP with Pramac Yamaha sent shockwaves to racing community.
Toprak, now 28 years old, will fulfil his dream moving to MotoGP with Pramac Yamaha for 2026, ending his stint in the World Superbike Championship with two titles on 2021 and 2024.
Known for his aggresive and entertaining approach, especially on hard-brakings, Toprak tipped to adds more excitement on MotoGP next year.

But Jorge Lorenzo, a three time MotoGP champion for Yamaha himself, thinks Toprak Razgatioglu would be better-suited to a rival manufacturer.

"Wow! That’s awesome news for all the MotoGP enthusiasts we all like to read," Lorenzo said.
"Even though I think his riding style would suit better for Ducati or even Honda, I’m sure with patience and time Toprak will be successful in MotoGP as well. His talent and braking skills are undeniable.
"Congratulations Toprak, Pramac and Yamaha for the deal."
Lorenzo famously rode for Yamaha, Ducati and Honda during his MotoGP days.
Razgatlioglu's unique riding style, which includes his body position on his WorldSBK BMW, is among the intriguing aspects of his move into MotoGP.
He has mastered the Pirelli tyre in WorldSBK, which will become MotoGP's official tyre supplier from 2027.
But that means Razgatlioglu must spend his first year in MotoGP using Michelin tyres, which he is unaccustomed to.
With Pramac Racing, he will be a part of a resurgent Yamaha who are eager to reclaim the top spot in the premier class.
