Bradley Smith took his first pole position of the 2010 season with a dominant performance in Saturday's qualifying session for the 125cc Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno.

The Aspar Aprilia rider finished the session with a decisive 0.484sec advantage over returning team-mate Nico Terol, the former world championship leader who missed the previous Sachsenring round due to back injuries, but had been fastest on Friday in Brno.

Title leader Marc Marquez, who dislocated his shoulder on Friday, skipped this morning's final practice session but was back on track for qualifying. The winner of the last five races rode to an excellent (under the circumstances) fourth place on the grid from his 14 laps.
