Full warm-up results at the San Marino MotoGP at Misano

Marc Marquez has topped the warm-up session ahead of the San Marino MotoGP with pole-sitter Maverick Vinales in second and a resurgent Andrea Dovizioso in third.

The Repsol Honda rider, who avoided a penalty for his incident with Valentino Rossi during Q2, produced a late 1m 33.409s to top the times late on in front of Vinales by 0.128s.

In cooler track conditions Dovizioso and Ducati appeared to profit against their grip woes at Misano as he claimed third place on the times to shuffle Fabio Quartararo into fourth place.

The Petronas Yamaha rider spent the majority of the warm-up session using a soft front tyre, having struggled for grip with that compound throughout this weekend, and his frustrations continued with a repeat incident under braking at Turn 1 late in the session.

Takaaki Nakagami impressed to take fifth place for LCR Honda ahead of Franco Morbidelli, who led the early stages of the session for Petronas Yamaha, with front-row starter Pol Espargaro slotting into seventh place for Red Bull KTM.

Alex Rins led Suzuki team-mate Joan Mir with home hero Rossi completing the top 10 thanks to his final lap improvement on the Monster Yamaha.

Ducati wildcard Michele Pirro grabbed 11th place ahead of Pramc Ducati’s Jack Miller, while the lone Aprilia of Aleix Espargaro claimed 13th with his team-mate Andrea Iannone ruled out by an injury sustained in FP4.

Danilo Petrucci’s miserable race weekend continued down in 15th place on the factory Ducati in front of Francesco Bagnaia on the Pramac Ducati and Cal Crutchlow on the LCR Honda.

Miguel Oliveira ended warm-up 17th fastest for Red Bull KTM Tech3, ahead of Avintia Ducati’s Tito Rabat, Repsol Honda’s Jorge Lorenzo and Karel Abraham on the Avintia Ducati. Johann Zarco failed to set a lap time after crashing at Turn 1 on his opening timed effort for Red Bull KTM.
