Matteo Ferrari has completed a dominant double victory at Misano to take a firm grip of the MotoE points standings.

The Trentino Gresini rider produced an almost identical charge to yesterday’s opening race to lead at the start of Lap 2, passing pole-sitter Alex de Angelis, before sprinting clear as his rivals battled for position and duly lost time.

Ferrari now leads the MotoE standings by 19 points ahead of Hector Garzo who followed up his Race 1 rostrum with the same result in second place.

Mattia Casadei stole the final podium place for Ongetta SIC58 Squadracorse with a final corner move on Niccolo Canepa on the LCR bike.

Maria Herrera impressed throughout the seven-lap sprint race to take fifth place on the OpenBank Angel Nieto bike comfortably clear of Eric Granado (Avintia) who held off both Jesko Raffin (Dynavolt Intact GP) and Bradley Smith (One Energy Racing) at the chequered flag.

Nicolas Terol (OpenBank Angel Nieto) and Mike Di Meglio (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) rounded out the top 10, with de Angelis and Sete Gibarnau both crashing out on Lap 2 in separate incidents.
