125: Pesek takes debut victory.

Derbi's Lukas Pesek took his first ever 125cc grand prix victory at Shanghai - and with it the world championship lead.

Pole sitter Mattia Pasini led for much of the early stages, but was unable to break away and had slipped back to the tail of a ten-man lead group by the flag. By contrast, fellow front row starter Pesek peaked at the right time and went on to win by 0.187secs from the Aprilia of Hector Faubel, while Honda's Esteve Rabat claimed a debut podium after leading a grand prix for the first time today.
