Tommy Hill has been diagnosed with another broken thigh bone after being taken out in a first corner melee on his return to action in the World Supersport Championship this weekend.

The Brit was about to make his full debut this weekend for the Honda Althea team eight months after suffering horrific injuries, including a fractured hip, femur, ankle and hand in a testing crash back in November.

He was looking good too when he qualified eighth in the 32-strong field but was involved in a first corner crash that saw five riders taken down, including him.

Needing immediate medical attention, it has since been revealed that Hill has a break in the same thighbone he suffered back in Spain. He will be flown back to the UK for further medical assistance.
