Zaiser to return with Grillini.

Christian Zaiser is to return to the World Superbike grid after concluding a deal to race with Grillini PBR Yamaha for the remainder of the season.

It is the second rider change in as many rounds for the Italian team after Loic Napoleone was replaced by Norino Brignola for the previous event at Misano.

However, with the Italian restricted by how long he can spend abroad due to professional commitments, Team Grillini will now welcome back Zaiser, who has not raced on the World Superbike scene since the end of last season.

With 19 races to his name, most of these occurred in 2007 when Zaiser rode the sole MV Agusta F4 1000 MT machine on the grid for LBR Racing. He scored just a single point.

Still, despite being out of action for several months, the 35-year-old Austrian is at least a little familiar with the Yamaha YZF-R1 having tested for Grillini some time ago. He will now get the opportunity to race the bike for the first time at the forthcoming Brno round in the Czech Republic.
